Should I correct my childs spelling on homework?

For spelling homework, spelling words should always be corrected when
mistakes are made. For everything else, our advice is that you encourage
your child to sound out words he/she is unsure of, and show your child how
close he/she was by writing correct spelling of the word. This gives your
child opportunities to practice using the rules of spelling and phonics
being
taught at school. Seeing the correct spelling helps your child to learn a
new word. You can also encourage your child to use a dictionary to look up
words. Children this age usually enjoy using the dictionary to find words.

Can my child wear a coat in class?

Outer garments such as coats, jackets, or button up shirts are not worn in
the classroom. The school sweater or sweatshirt is worn for warmth. Usually
children this age coming in from outside get involved with what is going on
around them that they forget to take off their coats and I more than likely
remind them to hang it up in their locker.
