Our First Communion celebration at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 3 is quickly approaching! Here are several important reminders to prepare your child for the special day. First Communion Banners are now due. If your child's banner has not yet been turned in, please do so as soon as possible. All banners will be displayed in the Fallon Center Hall at the reception. First Communion Rehearsal - 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 30 in the Church. Dress Dress for First Communion is "Sunday best." Girls are asked to wear a white or pastel dress; a veil, flowers or hair ribbons are fine. No gloves or purses. Boys are asked to wear dress pants, a dress shirt and shoes. A jacket and tie are optional. No sneakers, please. Arrival at Church & Seating Our First Communion liturgy will begin at 10:00 am. Bring your child to the upstairs entrance of the church by 9:30 am. There will be open seating in the church. Reception The First Communion reception in the Fallon Center Hall will immediately follow Mass. The reception is graciously hosted by parents of Grade 1 & 3 students in OLLS and Faith Formation classes. Photographs A professional photographer will take a group photo at the conclusion of the liturgy. The cost of this photo is included in the sacramental fee previously collected. For an additional fee, photos can be taken of your child (and family) immediately after the liturgy in the upstairs lounge of the Fallon Center. Taking photos or videos is not permitted during the liturgy. I look forward to celebrating a glorious First Communion with your children, family, and friends.
