The projects Kindergarten Thur 3rd grade are usually one or two days. Most
of these projects are seasonal. We do work on color and mixing colors.
Also we work on overlapping objects and atmospheric perspective. Most of the
project relate to art by
famous artist.
Kindergarten- Finished "Angels in Action". Started next art assignment a self-
portrait. Using multi-mediums to create a layed background. Next class
matching skin tone to paint face and hands. The following class facial
details added to face and collage shirt added to background. Finishing
adding hands to to composition.
First Grade-Finished geo-houses. Starting a symmetry composition "Magic of
One-Half". First cutting out geometric shapes like squares, triangle,
circles and rectangles. Assembling into a symmetrical design.
Second Grade- Finished "Folk Art Animals". Starting a Matisse collage. Using
construction paper, news print and magazines.
Third Grade- Finished "American Gothic". Starting "Layers of Depth" using
three layers of tracing paper. Creating a background, middle ground and
foreground.
