sentences;

topic by different authors, read the books, identify the main characters,
list the major events in sequence, and describe ways in which the two
books are similar and different.
*	Write a letter to one of the characters in the books they have read
*Ask your child what the author is trying to tell you in this book?
*Ask your child if any of the characters are like other characters you have
read about
*Ask your child what the most important part of the story was.
*Which part of the story best describes the setting?

How can I help my child succeed in math?

*Become familiar with the math objectives for your child's grade.
*Talk to your child's teacher about what objectives they are struggling
with.
*Practice math facts using flash cards
*Purchase educational games: THEY REALLY LEARN A LOT FROM
THESE AND THEY DON'T EVEN REALIZE IT!
*Do fun math-related activites at home.
*Point out math in everyday living (shopping, newspapers,
magazines,sports, cooking, etc.)
*Check your child's math homework and ask them how they solved the
problems. Communicating with math is the key to understanding the
concepts!
*Always make math FUN! Show them that you are enthused, and they
will quickly catch on!
