About Mrs. Traflet

The first thing I would like for you to know about me is that I truly enjoy 
teaching. I grew up in the small town of Roxboro,NC close to the Virginia 
border. I went to East Carolina University knowing exactly what I wanted to 
study and graduated in three and a half years Magna Cum Laude. I have been 
in the K-2 classroom for 9 years, 6 years in the foothills of NC and 4 years 
here at Parsley.

After my sixth year of teaching, I decided to become a full time mom and 
wife. I will always cherish those years completely devoted to my family. I 
have been married to my high school sweetheart for 14 years, and I have two 
beautiful girls, 9 and 12 years old. Being a teacher, a wife, and a mom has 
given me a new perspective on many issues. I know how hectic mornings can be, 
and how busy evenings are with homework, extra-curricular activities, and 
trying to have quality family time. I have returned to teaching with 
experience and excitement. 

Some activities that I enjoy outside of school include reading, walking, 
riding bikes, spending time with family and friends,and going to the pool. 
My favorite thing to do is camping. My husband, the girls, our dog (a 
golden) and I load up and off we go. Don't feel to bad for me. We have an RV 
and we love it!

I hope you've enjoyed reading a little about me and my family. I look 
forward to meeting new children every year and getting to know you and 
your family.

environment that maximizes individual potential, celebrates diversity and 
prepares students to be productive citizens.
