great site that contains activities for learning the alphabet, making words, 
colors and shapes, writing, and more.  There are different levels of 
difficulty to meet individual needs.

Here is a link to Kindergarten writing rubric from our Write From the 
Beginning program.  This will give you an idea of how your child's writing 
will be scored for assessment purposes.  Formal writing assessments are 
given twice a year in Kindergarten (Mid and End of Year).  The students are 
scored for both their Drawing and their Writing.  Informal writing 
observations/assessments are continuous.
