Meet our Teachers

 

Mrs Hockaday

Mrs. Hockaday started teaching at Pinebrook in 1978.  She has taught kindergarten, first and kindergarten/first combination.  She currently teaches kindergarten.  Mrs. Hockaday is active in her church and enjoys teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Mrs. Hockaday’s favorite thing about Pinebrook is the caring and loving attitude shown by the staff in meeting the needs of all the children at Pinebrook.

         




Mrs. Holt
 

Mrs. Holt graduated from Appalachian State University.  She started teaching at Pinebrook in 2002. She is very familiar with the Davie County Schools having graduated from Davie High; not to mention that she is also married to a Davie High graduate, who teaches at North Davie! Mrs. Holt's favorite things about Pinebrook are the great students and staff.


 

Mrs. Howard
 

Mrs. Howard started at Pinebrook as a Teacher�s Assistant in 1994 and worked in this position for four years. After receiving her degree in Elementary Education, she has taught both kindergarten and second grade since 2002.  In her spare time, she enjoys swimming and her dance classes. Mrs. Howard's favorite thing about Pinebrook is working with a great staff.

 



Mrs. Cope 


Mrs. Cope started teaching at Pinebrook in 1999. She currently teaches kindergarten. Mrs. Cope has taught in Davidson and Stanly Counties as well as Calvary Baptist Day school in Forsyth County. When she is not in the classroom, Mrs. Cope enjoys watching sports, especially sports her sons are involved in. Mrs. Cope’s favorite things about Pinebrook are her co-workers and awesome students. 

 



Mrs. Moore

Mrs. Moore started teaching at Pinebrook in 2005 and is currently teaching second grade. She did her student teaching at Shady Grove Elementary.  When Mrs. Moore is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Mrs. Moore’s favorite thing about Pinebrook is the friendly staff.



Mrs. Montgomery

Mrs. Montgomery began working at Pinebrook in 2004.   Prior to Pinebrook, Mrs. Montgomery worked as a preschool teacher for four years at Macedonia Moravian Church.  Many students and parents may recognize her from PTA as she served as Pinebrook’s PTA President for the 2003-2004 school year. Mrs. Montgomery's favorite thing about Pinebrook is the friendly atmosphere.

 



Mrs. Cox

Mrs. Cox began working at Pinebrook in 1986 with Mrs. Scott and the Exceptional Children program.   Mrs. Cox has also worked in kindergarten and first grade at Pinebrook.  She and her husband are active in their church and enjoy working with the youth. Mrs. Cox’s favorite thing about Pinebrook is the people (little and big)!

 

 



Mrs. Lyons

Mrs. Lyons began her adventure at Pinebrook in 2006. She loved volunteer time in her daughter Kaylx’s class so much now a teacher’s assistant. Besides Kindergarten, she has worked with an EC/BED class, as well as, 4th grade.

 

 



Mrs. Fromal

Mrs. Fromal started working as a teacher assistant at Pinebrook in 1994. Prior to Pinebrook, Mrs. Fromal taught preschool at Clemmons Methodist Church. Her service to children extends beyond the classroom as she finds time to volunteer as a tutor with a program sponsored by Bethlehem Methodist Church. Mrs. Fromal’s favorite things about Pinebrook are the students and staff.



Mrs. Davis

Mrs. Davis started working as a teacher assistant in 1982. She worked for 10 years in third grade. After that she worked as an assistant for first, second, fourth and fifth grade, as well as, helped in the office. She has 1 daughter and a grandson. She is thrilled to have her grandson here at Pinebrook. She and her husband are active members of Bread of Life Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoys every moment she gets to spend with her grandson, Owen.
