Homework will consist of reading, spelling, and math on a weekly basis. Every once in a while there will be a writing, science, or soc. studies assignment. Please check your child's planner each night for assignments. <right> MONDAY 14th Reading: TFK + worksheet Spelling: Monday activity Math: hw book pg. 93 & 94 Science: TUESDAY 15th Reading: Reading Log 20-25 min. Spelling: Tuesday activity Math: hw pages 95 & 97 Soc. Studies WEDNESDAY 16th Reading: Reading log 20-25 min. Spelling: Wednesday activity Math: multi-step worksheet Soc. Studies: THURSDAY 17th Reading: Reading Log 20-25 min. Spelling: Thrs. activity Math: no homework Soc. Studies: FRIDAY 18th Math quiz Spelling quiz Homework for the break: Students are to complete their CROP-QV sheet and their retell, summarizing, main idea triangle pages for the book they got from me. Spelling Nightly Assignment Sheet Monday Choose One: A. Write spelling words three times each. B. Put spelling words in ABC order. C. Write your spelling words and cross out the silent letters. Tuesday Choose One: A. Use the dictionary to write the definition for each word. B. Write a word that either sounds like or is spelled (rhyming) like your spelling words. C. Cut out your letters from newspaper to spell your words and paste them into your notebook. Wednesday Choose One: A. Think of and write a synonym for each word or a word that is similar to the word. B. Think of and write an antonym for each word or a word that is opposite of the word. Thursday Chose One: A. Write each word in a sentence. B. Write a short story using all the spelling words. Underline each spelling word. C. Write a poem or rap using all the spelling words.
