Hello River Mill Academy students and families,
It has been a wonderful year teaching 6th grade Math and Science at River Mill Academy. I have seen an
enormous amount of growth in the students I have taught this year! Although we have numerous
challenges every single student excelled at pushing themselves to their highest potential. These last
few week will prove to be challenging and yet we will continue to strive for excellence.

I have found it necessary to present activities that will encourage students to actualize the lessons they
learn in class in their everyday lives. Environmental awareness, social awareness, and individual
awareness are at the forefront of my thoughts on a moment-to-moment basis, and this is clear in my
presentation of material to students. Students are compassionate, receptive, and deeply intuitive when
given a safe space to respond to life in such a manner.
