This is my 13th year in education and my 5th in the Media Center. I graduated
from UNC-G 1994 with a Bachalor in Science in Home Economics and Business and
Community Service. I received certification to teach at NC A&T 1999. I went
on to attend ECU and received a Master's in Library Science in 2004.
I am very excited to be at River Mill and look forward to helping each
student
reach his/her full potiental.
The mission of the River Mill Academy Media Center is to teach students to be
effective users of information and to encourage and prepare students to be
life-long learners.
In order to accomplish this, the Library Media Specialist will:
Encourage a love of reading.
Provide access to learning resources in a variety of formats.
Teach skills necessary to locate, evaluate and use resources.
Collaborate with other educators to design learning strategies that
support the curriculum.
