B.A. Special/Elementary Education and M.S. Special Education with a Certification: N-12 Special Education, New York State and K-12 Cross Categorical Special Education, North Carolina State

I received my bachelor degree from Saint Leo College in Florida and I
attended Adelphi University in N.Y. for my masters degree. My experience
ranges from teaching adults to infants with special needs. I worked at the
United Cerebral Palsy Center of Nassau County for several years. I worked
with multiply handicapped adults and school age children.
Next, I taught inner city school age children with learning and emotional
disabilities in Queens, N.Y. Then I worked for the Catholic Guardian Society
in Queens, N.Y. for eleven years as a Preschool,Infant/Toddler Special
Education Teacher and later as the Early Intervention Intake Coordinator.
In North Carolina I first worked in a half day preschool church program so I
could be with two of my younger children and be home for my two school age
children. I worked at the Huntington Learning Center at the same time
tutoring school age children through a remedial program. I also
administered tests to identify students strengths and needs. Later I worked
at a HeadStart program teaching preschoolers.
Being at St. Mark I am able to do a job I love, as well as, follow God's
calling to work with children. What a blessing and a joy!

'Reach for the Stars' all things are possible.
