Students Summer Nicholson and Matthew Stanbury have painted banners to be
used in an upcoming episode of "One Tree Hill". Thanks to both they and
their parents for the after school days. "One Tree Hill" will be giving the
art room $100.00 for the use of this artwork.
This has been a very exciting time! School let out, and I went to teach in
India for the summer. Home of Hope, a girls orphanage in Kochi (Cochin),
India received me on June 22nd. My return was on August 6th. I lived and
worked with the girls for 6 weeks. Please go to the "teacher" section to
read on. You can see more about Home of Hope at their website, including
how you may become a visitor and/or supporter as well.
On the art front, I am making masks for Phantom of the Opera (which includes
Tess Colby in this production, to be staged by Thalian Association at Kenan
Hall, later this September. Also, I will be having a show with Dina Wilde
Ramsing locally at New Elements Gallery in May,2010, and my work and circus
family history will be the focus of a show at the Cameron Art Museum in
2011.
