The St. Mark Catholic School library media
center houses a growing collection of books and other media. At present, the
library has over 10,000 titles available to students, faculty, parents and
volunteers.
Library services, print and electronic
resources, as well as volunteers and staff, subscribe to the standards and
program guidelines established by the American Association of School
Librarians (AASL.)
Recently, the library collection has been
weeded according to industry standards. The collection continues to be
developed using the IMPACT Collection Guidelines as set out by the North
Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
The collection meets the criteria to be
designated "Outstanding," according to the standards set out by the North
Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
Parents and families are always welcome to
visit the library media center. If Mrs. Burns is available, she would love to
give you a quick tour.
