Please remind your child to bring their dry-erase markers every day May 11th 11:30 Dismissal for Teacher Workday I will post final exam study guides on my website on that day. Our final Ropes Course will be on April 17th - climbing the rock wall! HAPPY EASTER TO ALL! HAVE A FUN SPRING BREAK St.Patrick's Day will be celebrated on Monday, March 19th during 7th period Religion. We'll enjoy our green treats while watching the video on the life of St. Patrick. Out of graph paper? Go to my Links tab, click on free graph paper, and you can print some out. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered to 7th and 8th grade students on March 15th 1:00-2:00. PI-DAY (March 14th) is coming! We will have pi activities on 3/12 and 3/14 (3/13 is the Talent Show)during math class. Students will be measuring and calculating PI and playing PI games as well as eating pie! We will be hosting the school Mass for Ash Wednesday - 2/22 Ropes Course at UNCW - Tuesday, 2/21 There will be no Math Help on Thursday, January 12th. Midterm Schedule for 7th grade: Monday - Math Tuesday - Social Studies Wednesday - no midterms - regular schedule Thursday - Science Friday - Language Arts Midterm Schedule for 8th grade: Monday - Science Tuesday - Language Arts Wednesday - no midterms Thursday - Math Friday - Social Studies Students will follow the regular specials schedule for morning and afternoon specials. Wednesday, October 5th Today is "B" Day for Specials MATH HELP Beginning on Thursday, September 8th, I will be available from 3:30-4:30 to answer students' math questions. Sign up on the board outside my room. I will walk students to the lobby at 4:30. WELCOME BACK! I hope to see everyone at the Open House on Wednesday, 8/24 4-6pm. Remember to send me your completed student survey. SUMMER PRACTICE: 1) Students can do 20 problems per day on http://www.ixl.com/math/grades for free. Math7 students should practice 7th grade topics and Prealgebra students should practice 8th grade topics. 2) Check out the useful math-related websites found under the "Study Guides" tab. 3) Using the "Links" tab on my websie students can access the NC Dept of Public Instruction's website. Students should scroll down and click on the Week by Week Essentials for their previous grade level. There is a section called "Keeping Skills Sharp" that would be a great way to maintain skills over the summer. HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE SUMMER!
