5th Grade NovelsDear Parents, As you know, it is one of the greatest challenges to keep students engaged and enthusiastic about reading. It is our hope that both the careful selection of the novels used in fifth grade, and the plans and strategies we use will encourage and motivate each student to become lifelong readers. Since there is a world of books to choose from, the fifth grade teachers request that students save the books on the following list to read with their fifth grade class. This will prevent any student from feeling a lack of interest while reading with the class, and assist us in guiding the students to grasp vocabulary and the author's view more accurately. Upon completion of the fifth-grade year, please encourage your child to read any of the books on the list that were not read in class. We appreciate your attention to this matter and thank you for your anticipated support. Mrs. Fex and Mrs. Quinn
