What happens if I do not turn in an assignment when it is due?
Assignments not turned in on the date they are due results in a zero.
Absent students are responsible for the assignments missed and if they are
out on the day it is assigned, the student has two class periods to turn in
the assignment upon return to school.
What are the coupons for?
Three school coupons are issued to each student at the beginning of each
marking period. They may use one coupon for one assignment for one class
each quarter. They may not use more than one coupon per class per quarter.
Long term assignments may not apply. It is under the disgretion of the
teacher.
How do I know what my child has for homework?
On the left side of my website are the individual classes I teach and are
categorized with and HW in front of the class. Clicking on this link will
get you to the site where the daily/weekly homework is assigned. Also,
check the Announcements page for long term assignments like Science fair
deadlines.
What are the Red and Yellow cards?
On the left side of my website are the different pages for my site. Click
on "Syllabus" and there is a link for the policies and consequences for red
and yellow cards. These cards are strictly for conduct issues.
What is a uniform infraction?
A uniform infraction is a slip issued when the student is in non-compliance
with the dress code stated by the school handbook. Consequences are issued
with each infraction.
What do I do when my child is absent?
Any absent students will need to check the website daily for missed work.
Any classwork like notes, lecture, labs, will be made up upon return
to school. Any worksheets will be placed (as always) in the drop
boxes outside my room located underneath my daily homework board. Each
missed worksheet will have the students name on it and the date which
it was given out. Please do not request homework to be sent home. I
can tell you that it is almost impossible to get everything from every
teacher. It is much easier to utilize the different sources we've
provided for you. We have multiple facets at your disposal to help
ensure your children stay on top of things.
Can I request work ahead of time if I know my child will be out?
Due to the amount of extra work that puts on the teacher, students will not
be given work ahead of time unless it is to take a test (during school
hours) prior to their absence. It is the student's responsibility to get
any notes, classwork, homework, activities, etc., from the various sources
