NAME:
Mrs. Hamilton

St. Mark Catholic School
CLASS:
2nd Grade
I have been married to my husband, Brian, for 12 years. God has blessed us
with two daughters. We have been parishioners of St. Mark Catholic Church
for about 11 years. I love teaching and sharing my faith with children!
My career in education began in 1994, when I started interpreting for
deaf/hard of hearing children in the public school system. I loved working
with children! I attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro,
where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education of Deaf Children. I
worked as an Educational Interpreter for UNCG Disabled Student Services
while earning my degree. I moved to Wilmington and began working for New
Hanover County Schools in August of 1997 and continued working for the
school system until the end of the 2004-05 school year. While working for
NHCS, I attended UNCW and obtained licensure in Elementary Education (K-6)
and Special Education (LD and MR K-12). I worked at Bradley Creek Elementary
School until the 2004-05 school year. While there, I taught 3rd-5th grade
self-contained, 1st grade, and K-5 Resource. I served as Chairperson for the
Student Support Team for two years and served on the School Improvement Team
and Crisis Team.
The 2009-10 school year will be my fifth year teaching at St. Mark Catholic
School.
