Dear Parents, 
 
Thank you to all the parents that helped to make our field trip to Poplar 
Grove Plantation a great success.  Your help is greatly appreciated. 
 
As the temperature changes, please make sure your child has the correct St. 
Mark uniform outerwear and ankle socks as outlined in the school handbook. 
 
This week we finish writing our 5 paragraph papers describing what the children 
learned at Poplar Grove Plantation.  The children will also start drafting a 
story about an imagingary train ride with a clear beginning, middle, and end. 
 
In math we are continuing with the multiplication and division fact 
families.  Please help your child study these every night.  There will be a 
test this week on chapter 4. 
 
This week on Thursday, December 10, we will be having our Baby Shower for 
Jesus. 
 
We are looking forward to our Christmas concert on Monday, December 14. 
 
Nativities are due on December 11.  These will be graded on following 
directions.  Also, book reports are due on December 17, again following directions as well as correct spelling, neatness, and punctuation will be part of your grade. 
 
The next group of Current Events, week one, is due in January.
