About The Teacher
I have been teaching at St. Mark Catholic School since it opened its doors. I have taught Faith Formation at St. Mark Church since 1996. I love my faith, and feel so blessed to be able to share it when instructing students! I grew up in Houston, TX, as one of fifteen children. I went to parochial school from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. I graduated from Texas A&M with a BS degree in secondary education. I moved with my husband to California in 1989 and then to Wilmington in 1994. I have two children who are St. Mark Catholic School alumni. My daughter graduated in 2006, my son in 2007. After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, I felt a call to return to teaching. I took classes at UNCW, including 9 graduate classes, to fulfill requirements for NC certification in elementary education. I feel very privileged being able to help your child learn and grow both academically and in their faith. Thank you for intrusting your child to me! Mission for the class: To provide a safe and challenging learning environment where the knowledge and love of the Lord is deepened through the preparation and receipt of the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion.
