Music is both an academic and arts subject that is important to a child's development. In our Elementary Program students learn and participate in all aspects of music. Students learn to sing, dance, play instruments, and read music in this program. The purpose of this class is to expose students to various modes of music, different composers and genres of music, and help instill in them a love of music. In our Middle School Music Program students are exposed to performance-based music ensembles, experience being a part of a musical ensemble, acquire good musicianship skills, and utilize and expand their previous knowledge of music. Students are given the opportunity to specialize either: BAND, CHORUS, or GUITAR. In all courses students will learn the basic fundamentals of music, music theory, and music history.
