About The Teacher
I have lived in Wilmington for 15 years and have enjoyed every one of them! I'm originally from New York, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, and a permanent New York State License in Elementary Education. Here in Wilmington, I have acquired a North Carolina State Teacher's Certification. I have spent most of my long teaching career in First Grade doing what I love most - teaching children to read! I have also taught on the College level as an adjunct, teaching Reading Methods, Child Development, and conducting a Seminar for Student Teachers. I am very happily married and have two daughters - Elizabeth and Alexandra.Our family tree is growing by leaps and bounds! I have two grandsons - a three year old ,Keaton, and a one year old, Ian.
