Learning to cite sources is an important skill. Remember that all research
your child does depends on hard work performed by someone else. Make sure
we recognize those people!
Fifth graders are beginning their unit on honorable research, called "Rules
and Tools for Research". Taught primarily in the classroom using the
interactive white boards, this unit focuses on the important skills of
location of information, evaluation of information and use of information
including citing sources. After the instruction, all fifth graders should be
competent to complete projects assigned by their classroom teachers.
