Hi ya'll! I am Cacki Taylor, one of the School Counselor at Rachel Freeman
Elementary
School AND Forest Hills Global Elementary. I have been a school counselor in
New Hanover
County for 8 years and
really enjoy working
with our students.
I moved to Wilmington when I was in the fourth grade. I went to Alderman and
Tileston Elementary, Roland Grise Junior High and then on to Williston. I
graduated from Cape Fear Academy quite a while ago. I went to college at UNC-
Greensboro for an undergraduate degree in Child Development and Family
Systems and then moved to Charlotte where I attended UNC-C's Counseling
Program and was awarded a Masters Degree in Human Development and Learning.
I received National Board Certificiation in 2007! I have been working with
young children and families for 20 years. I haven't always been an
elementary school counselor. I have been a pre-school and kindergarten
teacher, a teacher's teacher, parent and child advocate, parent educator,
group-home counselor and a middle school counselor.
My favorite things to do are read, solve logic puzzles, sail and play in the
ocean.
What do I do at Freeman Elementary and Forest Hills Global Elementary School?
