Dear Parents,
I hope you enjoyed a peaceful and joyous Christmas! I also hope you were
able to relax and spend some quality time with your family during the break.
My wish is that the peace and joy of the Christmas season will remain in
your hearts during 2010.
Thank you for all the generous gifts you gave to me for Christmas! I was
overwhelmed with your thoughtfulness and generosity. The cards the children
wrote were extremely special and I will cherish them for many years.
Also, thanks for your donations of money, fleece, and time for our Advent
Blanket Project. The children truly enjoyed making these beautiful blankets
for the mothers and babies associated with Birthchoice. Our classroom was a
special place on the Friday morning before break. The children were busy
working and talking while Christmas music was playing in the background. A
very special thanks to the moms who helped cut the fabric and to those
parents who came in to help that morning.
This week will be busy! We continue to pray together and deepen our
relationship with God on a daily basis. I'm so lucky to witness this
sprirtual growth in your children; I feel blessed to be with them. We will
begin multiplication in math and the children are pumped! Our study of the
skeletal system will continue and we'll be learning all about Picasso in
reading. Adjectives are what we're working on in Grammar; please ask your
child about "Green Wilma" and an activity they're working on at school.
This may sound like a strange request, but am looking for a few chicken
bones for a science experiement. If your family eats drumsticks over the
next week...please save the bones, wash, and send in with your child. Thanks!
I wish you health & happiness in the new year. May the gifts of the Magi
remind us of the gifts the Lord has given to each of us. May we praise and
thank Him daily and use these gifts for the greater glory of God!
Please know your families continue to be in my prayers and I ask that you
pray for mine as well.
Peace,
Anne Donnelly
