Prayers

"Prayer is an exercise of love." Saint Theresa of Avila

Prayer to Saint Raphael the Archangel

Glorious Archangel Raphael,
Great Prince of the heavenly court,
Illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace,
Guide all who journey by land, sea, or air,
Consoler of the afflicted and refuge of sinners:
We beg you to assist us in all our needs
And in the sufferings of this life,
As once you helped the young tobias in his travels.
We humbly pray that you will heal our infirmities of soul and body
If it be for the greater glory of God.
We especially ask that your angelic purity
May help us to be temples of the Holy Spirit.

                                AMEN

"....Act justly,
.....love tenderly,
.....walk humbly with your God."

Micah 6:8

Teach us, good Lord, to serve you as you deserve:
To give and not count the cost,
To fight and not heed the wounds,
To toil and not to seek for rest,
To labor and not to ask for any reward
Save that of knowing we do your will.

                               Saint Ignatius of Loyola

O Jesus, give me a heart as vast as the universe,
So I may love you- if not as much as you deserve-
At least as much as I can.

                              Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini

A faithful Christian, illumed by the rays of grace like a crystal,
Ought to illumine others through word and deed,
With the light of good example.

                                Saint Anthony of Padua

I am not made or unmade by the things which happen to me,
but my reactions to them.

                            Saint John of the Cross
