Mrs. Buckley was born and grew up in the mountains of Vermont. She lived in
central Vermont with her parents, six siblings and extended family until
college. Mrs. Buckley studied illustration and advertising design at the
Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from the
Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated cum
laude with a degree in Art Education from Virginia Wesleyan College in
Norfolk, Virginia, adding an endorsement in Elementary Education following her
graduation.Mrs. Buckley received her Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola
University, New Orleans.
Mrs. Buckley has taught in Catholic schools for nineteen years , teaching all
grades in core subjects, has taught middle school language arts and religion,
and art in grades 1-8. She has also taught Illustration, Drawing, and
Painting in community college. She is a Master Catechist in the Diocese of
Raleigh.
Mrs. Buckley and her husband Chris have three adult daughters, Katrina,
Sara, and Amanda, and a six year old granddaughter, Epiphany. Epiphany became
a big sister on October 14, 2009 when her sister Eva Noelle was born.
This is Mrs. Buckley's tenth year teaching at Saint Raphael Catholic School.
