WOW, what a great teachers’ conference! The bishop was there and the fervor
for our Catholic faith and set on fire! The sessions were helpful and
enriching. I only hope my students had as good of a time these last few days
as I did!

Today is Veteran’s Day and we will have a prayer service. Later the third
graders will be listening to some great veterans who will share their
experiences with us about being in the military. Along with it being
Veteran’s Day 3A will begin learning about our Constitution, Bill of Rights,
and Government in SS class.

This week’s upcoming tests:

Thursday- Ch 6 Math test

Math
We will finish up Ch 6

Reading
The Cat Who Became a Poet is a great fantasy with incorporates poetry. We
will start the story this week. I hope to write haikus this week, a great
type of poetry to extend this piece of literature.

Please stress with your children that the vocab. foldables are graded. I
look for: correct spelling of the vocab. words, six-word sentences, correct
punctuation, neatness, correct definition, and part of speech, as well as the
sentences making sense while using the vocab. word correctly.

Religion
We will begin Session 6 in the book and learn who to look up bible passages
and use its index as well.

Grammar/Writing
We will continue Unit 5 in grammar on verbs. For writing we will write our
own haikus!

SS
3A will begin learning about our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Government
in SS. I will be using Discovery Education Streaming to enrich this great
subject matter. It is a paid educations website that has great video clips
and fun lessons.

Spelling
Not this week!

God bless!
