1. Will my child be in Reading Resource this year?

Will my child be in Reading Resource this year?

If your child ended the year in Reading Resource, they will begin the year 
in Reading Resource. They will be assessed at the beginning of the new 
school year. The results will be discussed with the classroom teacher, as 
well as how they are currently performing in class. Most of the time, 
students will remain in Reading Resource for at least the first quarter of 
the school year. This gives them time to settle in and gives their teacher 
time to see how they are progressing. We have found it is much easier to 
leave a child in Reading Resource for the first quarter, rather than taking 
them out and later, having to put them back in.
