Believe it or not....this is my 25th year as a music teacher! I have a BME
in Instrumental/Vocal/Piano Minor from Shenandoah University, Winchester,
Va; MA in Clarinet Performance from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
I have taught in both public, private and charter schools in Washington, DC,
Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts and North Carolina. I have been honored to
be a part of the UNCW Symphony Winds as their Principal/Master Clarinetist;
Conductor for three of the May 10, 2008 graduation ceremonies; UNCW Summer
Band Workshop as Clarinet Instructor/Clarinet Choir Faculty. I am also
a "free-lance-performer" throughout the area. I have
taught/performed and toured throughout the USA, Germany, Austria, Denmark
and Norway. I also own and operate my own music education business which
includes private and group lessons, ensemble programs in band, choir and
orchestra, "Musical Creations!" My vast teaching experience includes all
ages from infants -adults, yet, I must admit, "I am partial to the middle
school age student!" I have 3 awesome children; Sarah, 21, Zak, 19 and
Theresa, 15. I also have two cats, Smokey Rose and Bumpuss Marie! My
hobbies are; swimming, scuba diving, gardening,(watching Theresa train and
ride her horse, Prince)reading Nicholas Sparks novels and as always.....
relaxing at the beach. I love Wilmington....I am here to stay, it is my
home!
