I am starting my 11th year at Virgo!I received my undergraduate degree from
Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I then went to graduate school at
NC State in Raleigh. I started my career in education as a teacher.I taught
3rd and 4th grade and was a resource teacher in an elementary school.I was a
school counselor at an elementary school in Raleigh before I moved to
Wilmington.
This year Mr. Cole and I are dividing the students by grade level or class.
Mr. Cole is responsible for 7th grade and 8th graders who have Mr. Bordeux
for social studies 1st, 2nd and 6th periods. He also works with the students
in Ms. Eckerson's class and Ms. Holdridge's class. I am the counselor for
6th grade and 8th grade students in Mr. Bordeux's 4th, 5th and 6th period
social studies classes. I also work with students in Ms. Van
Pelt's class and Ms. Isaac's class.
I love living in Wilmington and go to the beach as much as possible. I live
with my dog, Lily, who is 13 years old. She is a black lab mix and is
perfect!I also love Diet Coke, salty food, pizza, flowers, anything about
the beach and water, traveling, going to art shows, movies and reading.
Basketball is my favorite sport and blue is my favorite color.
I welcome any and all questions. Come by Room 202, beside the library, and
see me!
