Week of April 6th

There will be no Wordly Wise or spelling till after we get back from
Washington, DC.

For homework over the next 3 weeks the students need to take 5 pictures of
things they think represent America. It can be anything from kids playing to
a flag blowing in the breeze. All I told them was they have to be able to
explain to me how the picture represents America, to them! They can use
pictures from our DC trip, but I do not want all the pictures to be from
DC. They need to be printed off and brought into class, they can not just
be on a flash drive or camera. They will be gluing these pictures down and
possibly cutting them up. They will write a poem about what America is to
them using these pictures. The pictures must be taken by the student or a
family member, not printed off Google images. The students will get one
homework point for each picture. These pictures are due April 27th. If you
have any questions, please let me know.
