* I am in my 26th year of teaching, all in Wake County. I have been teaching
at Wakefield HS since it opened in 2000. My brother -- also Mr.
Tharrington! -- teaches at Wakefield Middle.
* I am a proud graduate of UNC-CH -- Go Heels! -- for both my undergraduate
(B.S. in Statistics) and graduate (M.A. in Teaching Mathematics) degrees. I
obtained my National Board Certification in Adolescent Mathematics in 2006.
* I am a Raleigh native and attended Athens Drive HS. Now, my family -- me,
my wife, and my two boys -- lives in Wake Forest.

* My hobbies include Boy Scout activities with my kids, watching Tar Heel
