This will be my 31st year teaching Kindergarten in Wake County. I graduated
from Meredith College and have a M.Ed from UNC-Greensboro. I am married and
have 2 children: Jason who is 25 and graduated from NCSU, Rebekah who
is 23 and is attending East Carolina University. My favorite place to be is the beach
and I spend most of the summer in the sun. I love to read all types of books and enjoy crafts.
I believe each child is created special and unique, deserving the very best
education possible. Kindergarten is a "garden where children grow"...where
each child is nurtured, loved and encouraged to accomplish all developmental
skills at her/his own pace. Your child will learn through doing, seeing,
tasting, hearing and trying new things. Social skills are a big part of
kindergarten. We will all learn to live together, using the eight character
traits of: responsibility, respect, courage, kindness, self-discipline,
integrity, perseverance and good judgement. And we will have alot of fun
each day!! I love the sound of laughter in the classroom.
