Forest Friends is in our fourth year. It involves staff members and
volunteer parents acting as mentors to children in need. Mentors meet with
their friend at a minimum of one time a week and act as role models for
their student. Mentors help their matched student set goals, and work on
improving their academics and/or behavior. Currently we have 18 students
and 17 staff members participating.
Our end of year celebration is Tuesday, May 26th at 2:00 in the cafeteria.
We are having a board games day and everyone will receive an ice cream
sandwich and juice box. All mentees will receive a book to read over the
summer, compliments from the PTA. Many thanks for their generous donation!
We are having a prize giveaway as well. BJ's has sponsored our events this
