RED RIBBON WEEK ACTIVITIES
October 29-31 2008
Theme for the Week: I’m Drug Free! My Dreams Mean the World to me!
Monday 27th: Dress Up Against Drugs, this is picture day
Wear your best dress clothes
Tuesday 28th: Wear Red Day, whoever wears the most RED won a prize!
Wednesday 29th: Drugs Turn you Inside out, Wear your clothes inside out
Thursday 30th: Follow your Dreams, Don’t do drugs, Wear Pajamas
Friday: My Dreams mean the world to me, Dress in what you want to be when you grow up
Those students who dressed up will receive a sticker daily (while supplies last).
Other Activities:
· Every student received a Red Ribbon Sticker
· Prize giveaways: Monday and Friday randomly selected students received prizes
· K-1 Individual Poster Contest : Students will draw a picture showing a dream they have for the future. Teachers picked one winner from each class and those winners received a special prize.
· 2-5 Essay contest: Students will write an essay about how they can make their dreams come true. Teachers picked the best essay for each class and those winners received a special prize.
· All students signed an agreement in the hallway to stay away from drugs and together they will share their dreams
