FAQ

Q: How often should I sign my child's assignment book?
A: Every night you should sign off in their assignment book, indicating
that you
have reviewed their homework with them

Q: When do you send home graded papers?
A: Graded papers go home every Friday afternoon. They should be signed
and
returned the following Monday.

Q: How will I know if my child has missing work?
A: Periodically I will send home "missing work" reports. Otherwise you
can call
or email me if you feel your child may be behind. If they are out due to
sickness
when they return they will have a missing work packet on their desk.
They have
until the following Wednesday to complete it.

Q: How often will my child has outside of school projects?
A: I assign outside of school projects on a monthly/ or bi-monthly
basis. These
will vary depending on what we are studying in class. Some will be social
studies, some science and some language arts projects.

Q: Whom should I make out notes regarding my child's absenses?
A: These notes should be made out to the office administrator. They
should be
dated and include the teacher's name and grade level.

Q: What happens if I cannot pay field trip money for my child?
A: Send an enclosed note to me and we will try our best to work something
out
with the school.

Q: What areas will my child receive report cards grades in?
A: Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts (this includes:
reading,
writing and spelling)

Q: How often will my child take a Spelling Test?
A: Every Friday

Q: Am I allowed to have lunch with my child?
A: Yes! Please sign in the office first and meet us at the cafeteria at
11:00am

Q: When is the best time to reach my child's teacher?
A: The phone will be turned off during the daytime to avoid interuptions.
You can
leave me a message and I will return your call either during my planning
or at
the end of the day. Please do not call first thing in the morning unless
it is
before 7:45AM.
