Hello! My name is Jennifer Cox. This is my fourth year teaching third
grade here are William R. Davie Elementary School. Before coming to Davie
County Schools, I student taught with the Rowan-Salisbury School System in
the fourth grade. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte in 2007 with degree in Elementary Education. I was born and
raised in Winston-Salem and I still live in the Winston-Salem area.
Although math was not my favorite subject as a young student, I have gained
an immense passion for teaching mathematics and one of my favorite
parts of teaching third grade is watching my students grow leaps and bounds
in all areas, especially math.
Students have so much to look forward to in third grade. I cannot wait to
continue my career at WRD. Let's have a great school year!!!
My mission for all my students this year is to leave the third grade with a
feeling of success not only academically but also interpersonally. I work
very hard to create a classroom atmosphere in which all students can succeed
to their highest potential. I want all my students to make new friends, gain
a new area of interest and engage in worthwhile learning. I encourage each
student in my classroom to challenge themselves everyday and to always
remember to take that extra step to reach success. Remember, Success is
available to anyone who seeks to find it! The time is right for you to
succeed and I am here to help you along the way!
