What are the school hours?

School begins promptly at 8:15AM and ends at 3:00pm daily.  Car students are 
dismissed at 2:45PM to help with traffic flow.  If your child is tardy you 
must sign them in at the front office before going to class.  If your child 
has been absent, please send either a doctor's note, or a written note upon 
their return to school.

Where does my child go if they arrive before 8:00AM?

All students should report to the cafeteria if they arrive early.

How do I call the school?

The school telephone number is 653-3791.  The phones are usually answered by 
Ms. Marilyn Ward or Ms. Ila Gore.

How do I speak with my child's teacher during the school day?

Instructional time will not be interrupted.  You may leave a message with the 
office staff and they will give it to your child's teacher to return your 
call at their convenience.  In case of an emergency, the office staff will 
assist you.

What are the school rules and regulations?

The student handbook is given out at the beginning of the year for you to 
review.  See the home page for a link to the documents.  Each classroom 
teacher also will send home various comminications to keep you informed about 
your child's progress.  You may schedule a parent conference with your 
child's teacher if you have any questions.

What if my child needs medications during school?

If your child should need medicine(including over-the-counter) during the 
school day, we must have a signed "Permission to Administer Medicine" form 
from your doctor.  You can get a copy of this form from the school to be 
completed and returned to the school office.  We also ask that all student 
emergency contact information be kept current.  Please notify the school if 
there are any changes.

How much are school fees? Snacks?

School fees are $5.00
Snacks may be bought for $1.00 per day

Is homework required?

Homework is given to reinforce skills that have been taught and to provide 
additional practice.  Each teacher has his/her own homework requirements that 
students are expected to meet.

Does the school have a parent/teacher organization?

The Aggie Club is our parent/teacher booster organization.  Meetings are held 
the second Thursday of each month at 7pm in the media center.  Everyone is 
welcome!

Can I visit the school or volunteer in the classroom?

We encourage parental participation.  We ask that all visitors sign in at the 
front office before visiting.  Check with your child's teacher to learn more 
about volunteering.

When will the new school be finished?

The construction completion date is set for July 2006.  We ask that all 
visitors be very alert while visiting our campus and that you do not enter 
any construction areas.  Please follow the traffic flow and park in the 
designated areas.

What if my child has a transportation change?

We ask that any transportation changes be done in writing.  We can not take a 
child's word if they need to ride a different bus, or have a change.  
Children may get confused and safety is our first priority.
