Formulas for Perimeter, Area, and Volume

Perimeter of square
        add 4 sides together
        P = 4s
        P = s + s + s + s

Perimeter of rectangle
        add 4 sides together
        P =  L + L + W + W
        P = 2L + 2W

Circumference of circle
        C = 3.14 x diameter
        C = pi times diameter

Area of square
        A = S times S
        A = S x S

Area of rectangle
        A = L times W
        A = L x W

Area of circle
       Area of circle = 3.14 x radius squared

Area of triangle
       A of triangle = 1/2 times base times height
       A = 1/2 x bh

Area of parallelogram
       A =1/2 times bh

Area of trapezoid
       A = 1/2 (base 1 + base 2)h
