Welcome to our school! OUR MISSION: "is to provide all students with diverse educational opportunities that will prepare them intellectually, socially, and emotionally to meet the changing demands of the 21st century." We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are just as important. Our students know that we have high expectations for them, and they strive to meet them. We welcome involvement from parents and the community.

Kindergarten Registration
Any families who will have children entering kindergarten in the fall of 2013 are urged to stop by the school and fill out registration forms before school ends on May 17th. Parents should bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and immunization record. A good opportunity to do this would be during Parent-Teacher Conferences coming up on March 21st, between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Children must have reached their 5th birthday before Aug. 1, 2013 in order to attend kindergarten next year.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION Our school is collecting and saving the box tops again this year...send them to school with your child. Each month there is a competition to see which class collected the most. That class earns a treat and the traveling trophy!

Science Olympiad

On March 12th, 15 students in grades 6-8 attended the regional Science Olympiad at Minot State. The competition included 21 different scientific & mathematical events. Nedrose finished in 4th place, out of the 15 junior high schools competing qualifying our team for the state competition in Fargo on April 20th. Only the top 5 schools from this area advanced! This is the 12th year in a row that Nedrose has qualified for the state competition. Congratulations to Ms. Davis and our students for another outstanding effort!!

PTO NEWS

Talent night/ice cream social has been scheduled for Friday, April 26th at 7:00 p.m. There will be Nedrose Cardinal magnets being sold that evening also. Funds raised are being used for new swings on the playground.

Bus Drivers Wanted

If there's anyone interested in being a bus driver, please contact Mr. Miller. The district has 3 open positions at this time. If you don't currently hold a valid bus driver's license, we will help you obtain one. Starting salary for bus drivers is $18/hour. Normal hours are roughly 6:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All drivers are guaranteed 3 hours per day.
