Preguntas (Questions)En esta página se incluyen las preguntas más frecuentes de estudiantes y padres.
What is a CPR and why do we have to do it? CPR stands for cultural participation and research. It allows students to use their language skills outside the classroom and gain confidence in a real life setting. In their year-end evaluations, students remark that they really enjoyed doing the CPR projects. By completing a portfolio a student is able to see how much s/he has accomplished. It also gives the student the opportunity to reflect on how s/he learns best, what areas give her/him difficulty, and what s/he can do to improve. The student also shares her/his portfolio with her/his parents/guardians so that they can see their child's progress. Language students around the globe complete portfolios of their learning experiences to document their progress. They may share these with future teachers, post-secondary institutions, and employers. What do I need for Spanish Class? Each Spanish I and II student needs a 3-ring binder which is 2 1/2" to 3" wide, paper, 3 dividers, a pen/pencil, and a portfolio envelope or folder. When is my teacher available for help? Your teacher may help you before or after school. Her planning times are 1st and 5th periods. All students may retake or redo any quiz or test. You will have only a one week window of time to complete an assignment which will be your ticket to retake. How do I know what the Spanish activities on Power School are? Since the assignments are in written in Spanish, you can tell what they are by clicking on the assignment. There is an explanation of what the assignment is in English and any other pertinent information as well. Why is there a letter by my grade on Power School? If there is a C or L or M by your grade, it means that the teacher has attached a note or comment to the grade. This usually explains what the student needs to do in order to retake and what the deadline is. |
