Mrs. Prescott is a native of Wisconsin, with a B.S. degree in Elementary
Education (grades 1-8) from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a
Masters degree in Education/Educational Technology (M.Ed.) from McNeese
State University. She has taught grades 5 through college level in Colorado,
Oklahoma, Louisiana and Nebraska. Her current job position is as junior high
Computer Literacy teacher, with additional responsibilities as the school LAN
manager and staff technology coach.
She is an active member of both ISTE (International Society for Technology in
Education)and NETA (Nebraska Educational Technology Association), currently
serving on the NETA Board of Directors. Mrs. Prescott is also qualified as a
Thinkfinity, NetTrekker and I-Safe America site trainer.
A frequent presenter at state educational technology conferences, she was an
eSchoolNews online correspondent at the 2005 NECC national conference in
Philadelphia and the 2007 NECC in Atlanta.
She has written a middle school computer literacy curriculum for publication.
Personally, she is passionate about school bus safety and is a strong
advocate for requiring lap and shoulder belts on all school vehicles.
The purpose of this class is to expose students to a wide range of
technology tools and topics, providing meaningful, real-world projects as
students learn new skills for school success and beyond.
