About Mrs. Dawn Prescott

Mrs. Prescott is a native of Wisconsin, with a B.S. degree in Elementary 
Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a 
Masters degree in Education/Educational Technology (M.Ed.) from McNeese 
State University. She has taught grades 5 through college level in Colorado, 
Oklahoma, Louisiana and Nebraska. Her current job position is as 7th and 8th
Grade Computer Literacy teacher, with additional responsibilities as Infinite
Campus support and district webmaster.

She is an active member of both ISTE (International Society for Technology in
Education) and NETA (Nebraska Educational Technology Association), currently
serving on the NETA Board of Directors. Mrs. Prescott is also qualified as a
TeacherWeb/IslandWeb, Thinkfinity, NetTrekker and I-Safe America site trainer.

A frequent presenter at state educational technology conferences, she was an
eSchoolNews online correspondent at the 2005 NECC national conference in
Philadelphia and the 2007 NECC in Atlanta.

She has written a middle school computer literacy curriculum for publication.

Personally, she is passionate about school bus safety and is a strong 
advocate for requiring lap and shoulder belts on all school vehicles.

Mission For The Class

The purpose of this class is to expose students to a wide range of 
technology tools and topics, providing meaningful, real-world projects as 
students learn new skills for school success and beyond.
