Remember - there is no school this Thursday May 10th. I will be in Terra Nova learning!
I am very proud of my whole class that presented and did their very best during their heritage fair! You all proved that hard work pays off! Also, you made learning fun! Your backboard were colorful, neat and well organized. Your facts were amazing (I learned something new from each of your presentations! Thanks! Most of all, the stories that you shared about your family/heritage were touching. These are the project (even though you grumble about them at the time) will remember this assignment for a long time!
Way to go!
The judges found this year extremely hard to judge, there were a number of projects they wished they could send.
Honorable mentions from this class included: Evan Collins, Allison Butler, Britney Crewe, and Bradley Wheeler.
This year we sent 12 students to represent our school at the Regional Heritage Fair they were
Andrew Fisher, Erica Dunn, Riley Elliott, Kayla Penney, Joshua Gough, Ben Callahan, Mark Butler, Emily Harris, Kendra Hayward, Alexis Cole, Daniel Tucker, and Jonathan Brine.
I am so happy to report that Daniel Tucker placed first in the Regional Heritage Fair and Erica Dunn was runner up! I am so proud of everyone who went and represented Matthew! You ROCK!
I have noticed that a few students are starting to run out of things; exercise books, glue, scissors, crayons and PENCILS, please check with them to see about their supply.
Math games are always a fun way to LEARN. Check out the links.
