
St. Edward’s Recycling Program
This Wednesday, October 22 will be our seventh recycling date. For
every recyclable collected St. Edward’s earns 10 cents. Last year our school
collected over 164, 000 items. Money earned from our recycling program
assisted our school in purchasing much needed computer hardware for our
school’s
Resource
Center
. Thank you so much for your tremendous support! We look
forward to further improvements at our school as we raise more money. Most
important of all our school community is working together to help keep our
environment clean!
We hope that EVERY family at St. Edward’s can try to donate at least 10
items weekly and please keep in mind the following:

We recycle ALL plastic and aluminum beverage containers. [No glass
please for the safety of those handling the bags.]
v
No Milk
containers, please.
v
Please rinse all containers.
v
Please count and attach the number of recycled items brought from home
to the bag to help speed up the collecting process.
v
Students in Grades 1-6 can bring their items to the gym exit at the Rear of
the building when they arrive at school in the morning. [Kindergarten
students should take items to their classrooms. Our Elementary Green Team
Helpers will assist kdgtn students in the collection of the recycling.

Weekly prizes include a small treat – 2 per class
