NLBA Train to Train Coaching Clinic

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will hold a Train to Train Coaching Course on the November 16th – 18th weekend at the NL Sports Centre in St. John’s. The course will run from 6:00 pm–9:00 pm on Friday; 9:00 am – 12:00 pm; 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Saturday; and 8:30 am – 11:30 pm and 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Sunday morning. This course is the replacement for the old Technical II under the National Coaching Certification Program. The course will consist of 3 classroom sessions and 3 on court sessions. The cost for registration is $150.00 and the deadline to register is November 9th, 2012. Coaches must be 16 years of age or older to be eligible to register. Resistance Training

A must-have for competitive coaches, this dynamic and interactive introductory workshop will teach you how to prevent injuries and increase athlete performance through proven resistance training tools. Become a better coach by augmenting your plan with elements such as:

  • Basic lifts
  • Stability training
  • Core training

The course will run from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Friday; 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm on Saturday; and 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on Sunday morning. This course is the replacement for the old Technical I and includes both Technical and Theory Components under the National Coaching Certification Program. The course will consist of 2 classroom sessions and 2 on court sessions. The cost for registration is $125.00 and the deadline to register is October 12th. Coaches must be 16 years of age or older to be eligible to register.
