*Letters of the week for this month were z, q, x, and y.  We have also begun to practice writing the uppercase letters of the alphabet, and reviewing all lowercase letters.

*By the end of this month our “Word Wall” will have the following words on it: a, and, at, can, I, is, me, my, the, we, up.

*During math time this month we have been working on number stories, playing number games (ie. Top It), making and extending patterns, using pattern blocks and practicing skip counting by 10’s.  To reinforce skills at home you can practice number writing (0-30), counting to 50, and reading numbers 0-50.

*December “Classroom Wish List” items”- paper towels, baby wipes, and googly eyes

*Lastly, I want to remind you that as winter sets in the children do need to be dress appropriately for recess.  We want to continue to take each class out at the end of their session, but cannot if the weather is too cold, or if students are not dressed warmly enough.   Another reminder- if boots are worn to school, please send in extra shoes or sneakers to change into.  Thank you!!!
