I have taught in SAU #50 for the last 15 years. Prior to coming to
Greenland
and Newington I owned a Yarn Shop in downtown Portsmouth for five years. I
also taught music in towns in Maine for 10 years.
I live in Portsmouth with my husband Randy, and 2 children: Jared age 17 and
Hannah age 15. Jared will be graduating from Portsmouth High School this
year
and Hannah will be entering Portsmouth High School this fall. Both children
are active in sports and music. My daughter is enjoying soccer, basketball
and softball
this year and my son loves soccer and golf.
The summer of 2002, I completed the second level of training for Orff
Schulwerk
Certification. This type of teaching music to children is a great way to
involve all students on instruments, singing, dance, movement, learning folk
songs, learning to improvise. I am thrilled to be able to use the Orff
Schulwerk method of teaching this year.
