I have been teaching for many years. I began teaching high school Spanish.
I taught at two different high schools before coming to GCS. Although I
enjoyed my years as a high school teacher, I love teaching the younger
students. The enthusiasm they bring to the classroom is contagious.
I currently teach all third through fifth graders. I go to the different
classrooms and teach two twenty minute lessons a week. In the Middle School
I see the Sixth graders two periods a week, Seventh graders three periods a
week and the Eighth graders five days a week (some for the all year and some
for half the year).
Currently the majority of our graduating students transition well to the
Portsmouth High School Spanish Program. Many students are recommended for
Advanced Spanish I or Spanish II.
All students in Third through Seventh grade will be taught and practice
common expressions and high frequency vocabulary. Exposure to cultural
topics will be incorporated at each grade level.
