Ephraim Dorman Headstone for original Upper Ashuelot proprietor Ephraim Dorman. On the morning of April 23, 1746, Dorman came upon an Indian raiding party while searching for a lost cow. He raced to the fort on Main St. and rang the alarm bell to warn his neighbors. |
